Benjamin Putnam

Benjamin Putnam is a partner with the law firm of Neuse, Duprey and Putnam in Middlebury, Vermont. His practice, while general in scope, often focuses on a variety of land use issues, ranging from deciphering ancient deeds to resolving current disputes in municipal law. From his experience in college in Los Angeles County to his participation in environmental organizations in his native Vermont, he has long been interested in how communities manage both wilderness and working landscapes.

After graduating from the University of Texas School of Law in 2004, Benji interned for the International Criminal Court for Rwanda, based in Arusha, Tanzania, then returned to Vermont and clerked for the Hon. William Sessions III. He has worked at his present law firm since 2006.

Benj lives with his wife and two young children in New Haven. He enjoys skiing, hiking, eating home-grown meat, and avoiding his wife’s over-enthusiastic vegetable garden.
